Mr.
Stynchula is a graduate of
Saint Vincent College, Latrobe, PA
with a degree in Music Education. Dr. Victor Plushkat, a student
of Fritz Reiner is the major influence on Mr. Stynchula’s joy
and interpretation of music. In a performance of Death and
Transfiguration conducted by Dr. Plushkat, an optimum experience
happened to the ensemble. A similar experience occurred in a
performance by the St. James Parish Choir during a service. Dr.
Mihalyi Csikszentmihalyi describes these optimal experience
events in his book “Flow”.
Major accomplishments as a music director include St James
Parish Choir (New Alexandria, PA), New Alexandria PA
Bi-Centennial Festival Music Director, Associate Conductor of
the Vienna Community Band, and Guest Conductor of the Kings Park
Community Band.
Mr. Stynchula currently plays tuba with the
National Concert Band of America ,
several of the Mount Vernon Community Bands and other musical
groups in the area. Over the years, Mr. Stynchula has performed
as a vocalist and in a variety of ensembles from brass quintet
to symphonic bands to swing/jazz bands, and musicals on tuba
primarily, trombone, euphonium, and French horn. Recognition
ensembles Mr. Stynchula has performed in are the PA
Intercollegiate Band, PA Regional, and District Bands, and has
performed at St. Patrick’s in New York City, among other
recognizable sites. Mr. Stynchula served in the military
performing on tuba, euphonium, and French horn, and supported
all ensembles as a sound/recording technician.
Mr. Stynchula is a father of four children and resides in
Alexandria. Mr. Stynchula has extensive experience within the
Internet community, with Information Technology expertise, and
delivering training on a variety of themes.
